What Took You So Long?

I had a root canal this morning. And let me tell you. I like this nitrous oxide gas. We need that stuff attached to the carts in grocery stores, airports, airplanes, and any other anxiety inducing places or appointments! That is the way to go! Basil wonders what took me so long to try it.

Seriously! Hook me up with one of them there tanks! Might have to dial it down a bit, as at one point I opened my eyes and thought the lamp/magnifying glass was the dentist’s head.

I’m definitely going to ask my dentist if they have it for the next crown though. I’ve got 3 more crowns needed and that’s 3 hours of tenseness I could do without.

Look Up When You Cannot Find It

Yesterday I looked for my vitamin C for about 15 minutes. Just could not find it. I looked everywhere but up!

Found only after I’d opened a new bottle. For some reason I put it up there after taking down a glass. 🫣🤦‍♀️🤪

It’s wild times, I tell ya! I only found it as I was emptying the dishwasher and reached up there to put the glass away! Good grief!

I have dyspraxia. My coordination is really off some days along with my hands just randomly dropping things I’m holding. I think this was more the ADHD. My brain was a thousand steps ahead of my actions.

Thomas at TMCC – December 2022

Thomas received the SAT score on Friday, scoring in the 98th percentile with a score of 1420. Thomas received a 33 on the ACT, scoring in the 99th percentile.

I am extremely excited and happy for Thomas. Huge steps closer to realizing the goals of their heart’s desire. Love Thomas to infinity and beyond!

Sneezing Fit With a Neverending Snow Storm

This morning during a sneezing fit, I choked on my saliva, causing me to try to cough and sneeze at the same time. Which then caused me to swallow air, causing me to try to burp while sneezing and couching. Which caused me to try to laugh hysterically at myself. While sneezing, couching, and burping.

You’re welcome. 🤣🤣🤣

Happy Birthday to Me

Birthday breakfast. Warm and fresh. 😋😋😋

Thomas sang the Happy Birthday song to me and then we dove into the peanut butter pie.
Lillian tasted it! That’s a big step for her. She said it tastes good, but too nutty.
Starting off 53 a lilt bit nutty I guess. Love it! 🎉🥜💝🌹🫣👀🫣🥜🌹💝🎉

Chad Basil the First Grows More Comfortable and Expressive

Chad Basil the First

Basil grows more comfortable in his new home, assuming correctly that everything is his to explore, play with, or eat. 😂

He still doesn’t get in our laps or cuddle. But has jumped on the bed twice to sit near Thomas or me. He adores Thomas (which is great since he’s Thomas’s cat and will go with Thomas to college.)

Basil had his 1 year checkup at the vet a few weeks ago. He loves his carrier. So much so that I’ve left it out for him.

He has much to say when Thomas is taking too long coming out of the bedroom in the mornings.

I love my grand kitty to pieces. ❤️❤️❤️

Found Treasures of Yesteryear – Romano’s Downtown Bowl

I recently helped Lillian organize her closet and found the stash of pencils Frank gave to us. Frank’s dad, Frank, owned a bowling alley in Yuma, Arizona in the early 60’s.

The erasers held up as one would expect for a 60 something year old eraser! Hard as bricks! Otherwise they are great!

We will never run out of pencils. I suspect this stash (more than pictured) will outlast me! 🎳🎳🎳

I was inspired after sharing the pencils photo on social media. Look what I found! A 1960’s postcard with the bowling alley pictured! So cool! I love digging into things like this! It’s like a treasure hunt. 💝

Now I’m inspired to make this into a gift for my step-father. I’ve ordered the postcard from a seller on eBay. I’ll pair it with a couple of pencils and see if I can find a 60’s photo of his dad. I’m so excited! (Any Romanos who see this: Don’t tell Frank. It’s a surprise.)

Sparkly Congratulations to Thomas

I never posted these sparkly photos of my heart crystal and the gorgeous lamp that The Romano Duo gave me for Christmas, taken at the end of December.

Guess I was saving it for a celebratory Thomas post. Thomas entered a game creation contest, winning first prize! I’m having a great time supporting and watching Thomas spread his wings and soar with his heart passion. I’m incredibly excited for Thomas’s future!
