Get to Know Me: What Would Your Warning Label Say

I’m a member of an author/book reader facebook group, and the admins ask great questions. I decided to turn some of the questions into a “get to know me” series. I would also love to hear your answers to the questions posed in the series. Thanks Helen for asking such fun questions!

If you had a warning label, what would yours say?

Warning: Do not tell this one what she can or cannot do. Don’t be fooled. She will politely smile, and then do what she was told she could not do.

This one has a solid BS detector as well as an intense aversion to spending time with anyone who attempts to manipulate or take “No” for an answer.

This one is also very clumsy. Beware of cherished items near her. You may want to wear ear plugs when in her company, as she laughs loudly, and swears very much.

What about you?

Blessings,
Camilla

Get to Know Me: What Phobias Do You Have?

What Phobias Do You Have?

I don’t know that I have a true phobia. There are things I do not like, but will handle, if need be: Heights, Claustrophobia, and I do not like tightly packed crowds of people at events. I used to have a phobia of bees, but have somewhat brought that down to manageable. I was stung way too many times as a child, one time directly on my lip! Ouch! We tolerate one another now. 😂

I do NOT like crowded places. Which is why when my kids were younger, we switched to doing our fun things and shopping during the week, rather than the weekend. I didn’t mean for it to rub off, but neither of my kids like crowds either. It’s too much sensory input. 😂

Way too much people energy and emotions.

What about you?

Get to Know Me: What Do You Do On the Weekends?

I’m a member of an author/book reader facebook group, and the admins ask great questions. I decided to turn some of the questions into a “get to know me” series. I would also love to hear your answers to the questions posed in the series. Thanks Helen for asking such fun questions!

What do you do on the weekends?

When my kids were much younger and in traditional school during the week, we would have little adventures (as I barely had money for gas or food). They loved it as I made everything into an adventure. Instead of going out to eat a full meal somewhere, we’d go have a $1 ice cream cone or just a side order of fries. We’d go to the park and read, throw the frisbee, go for walks, toss water balloons, and simply go for drives, or go through the car wash (that’s still an adventure … we all pile in the car when I announce that it’s car wash time!) Beautiful memories!!

My 19 year old special needs daughter, Lillian, is graduated now and my 15 year old is homeschooled, so we stay home on the weekends when everyone else is out and about (before COVID, anyway) and have our date days and adventures, shopping and what not during the week.

To finally answer the question, we just hang out at home, reading, watching movies, having pizza or nachos on Saturday night, and doing some cleaning and washing.

Your turn …. What do you do on the weekends?

Blessings,
Camilla
