It’s a beautiful, awesome, magical day to be alive! Today I get to go on a date with one of the most amazing, inspiring people I know … the one I get to call my son. Here’s Thomas with the most giant snowball in the World that he made yesterday during our walk. Huge smiles and hugs y’all!
First stop on the November Camilla n Thomas Date Day … a fabulous lunch … thank you Marcy Barba for the gift card! YUM!
Next stop on the T & C Date Day …. sea salt caramel for Thomas and dark chocolate covered cherry for me! Pure heaven for the taste buds! For my non-local friends, Dorinda ships! The pumpkin truffle is soooooooo good!
After Dorinda’s Chocolates we took a long walk along the riverfront for the next phase of our T & C date day! Had much thought and conversation about how Thomas could become a duck. He enjoyed the ducks so much …. So beautiful and peaceful!
Last stop on the November Thomas & Camilla Date Day … Park time! Brrrrrr! It was chilly out there!

The pumpkin pie helper!! Such an excited young man!! Let’s see how it turns out. Gluten-free and made WITHOUT sweetened condensed milk and made with coconut sugar!! Smells good!!
Cranberry sauce helper!! Made with coconut sugar. Oh so good. This will be the 3rd year I’ve made it with coconut sugar instead of white sugar. It makes the sauce brown but we don’t care. It’s yum! We have it on ice cream too! Nom, Nom!!

Lillian’s gratitude for today:
I’m thankful that we have a Christmas tree and it is so pretty.

Today I am thankful for imagination … one of life’s greatest blessings … “Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions.” -Albert Einstein …. “Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were. But without it we go nowhere.” -Carl Sagan … “Live out of your imagination, not your history.” -Stephen Covey

Thomas’ gratitude for today:
I’m thankful for Lillian.

For those who shared in my excitement regarding the AAC App and iPhone for Lillian a couple of months ago . . . Spent some time on the phone this morning with the code developer of the App (Proloquo2Go) ~ We shall see where this leads!

Nitrous oxide and this view. 👀🌲👀 Makes going to the dentist bearable. One or two more visits, a year and half process (maybe two by the time we’re done), many thousands of dollars. Hallelujah!!! Almost done. 🎉🤍🎉

Thomas and Camilla November 2015 date day ….
Enchiladas for Thomas. Tortilla soup and a cheese enchilada for me. Sopapillas for dessert. Thomas says he likes this place – Good feeling and good food. Part 1
Thomas and Camilla November 2015 Date Day …
A stop at the grocery store so Thomas could pick out some fresh veggies. He got a portobello mushroom, radishes, and a huge tomato. Then off to Audrey Harris Park to check out the view of the snow. Tried to catch some on our tongues too!! Thomas says the wind tastes good! xoxo Part 2

0/10 = ER visit on a Friday afternoon. 5 hours later and we finally made our way home. 😳 Not sure how it happened but Thomas has a corneal laceration. Maybe something got under the contact? All will be fine. They put in numbing drops to stop the intense pain, and have other drops I’ll pick up tomorrow.
I had to go sit in the car to charge my phone. Thomas and I were texting. Once we finally got called back, I overheard one of the nurses on the phone saying that they’ve been closed to ambulances for 3 hours due to no beds. It looked more to me like a staffing issue as the place was very empty.

July 2009
I’m grateful for getting the opportunity to reconnect with old friends all the way back to elementary school, middle school (Stephanie Sills Lee) and definitely my Oaklawn Jr High buddies! We had so much fun y’all!
The silliest group of teenagers you ever saw! Had a ball being a Tarponette on the drill team with my buddy Valissa Hall McGuffee, marching in the Mardi Gras parades with our band buddies Georges Detiveaux, Dehron Foster and Lillie Powell Salsberry. We tore up them streets of Houma, Louisiana and at them football games!! That’s what we thought anyway! Had such a blast being around each other … Chad Templeton, Dawn Prosperie and Lois Solet, too!
Our little mini reunion in 2009 down in Houston was a hoot! Hanging out and being silly like time had not even passed! I LOVE Y’ALL and am so thankful and blessed that we’ve reconnected!!!
