Feeling Good in My Skin

November 25 2023

I did it! 🎉🎉🎉 I’ve lost 20 pounds. Finally starting to feel good in my skin once again. 💋💋💋And look at my beautiful mom! ❤️❤️❤️

Forever grateful to the GI nurse practitioner that helped me figure out my health issue.

***A person’s weight is personal to them, including how they feel emotionally and physically within their body. Please don’t leave comments that they don’t need to lose or gain weight.***

It’s been a lot of trial and error for the past 8 months. It began with receiving the pernicious anemia and iron deficiency anemia diagnoses and addressing those. I got a 3 hour iron infusion and I give myself monthly B12 shots.

I strength train 3 times a week. Believe me when I tell you I fought this like crazy as I did NOT want to incorporate strength training. However, I am only in the gym for 30 minutes each time. I used our community’s gym. If I didn’t have one steps from my front door, I’d be doing home workouts. One whole body workout, one upper body, and one lower body. Then I go for a hike one day a week and a long walk another day of the week (sometimes I miss these depending on my schedule).

I increased my protein intake and decreased my calories. I do one or two 24 hour fasts a month and (mostly) don’t eat anything after 6:00pm.

I think this will be a bit different for each person, as like I say, it was a lot of trying things to see what worked for me and my body. I also incorporated a fiber supplement and a pre & pro biotic supplement.

I was just so uncomfortable, I was motivated to figure out what the hell my body wanted! 😂🤣🤣
